Temple returns home to Geasey Field to face Longwood, fresh off of beating Villanova 4-1 in its first Big East conference game.
Longwood is 3-4, but won its last two games via an 8-1 blowout of Appalachian State and a 3-2 win over Radford.
Senior midfielder Stacey de Grandhomme, out of Cape Town, South Africa, leads Longwood in scoring with six goals and an assist for 13 points. She had a five-point performance against Appalachian State that was made up of two goals and an assist.
Prior to Friday night’s win over Villanova, the Owls shutout Monmouth 6-0 last Saturday.
Temple’s offense has been generating a lot more scoring opportunities in the past two games, after being outshot by its opponents in four of its first five games.
The Owls have also been playing well on the defensive end with just one goal allowed in the last two games.
Temple beat Longwood 5-3 on the road last season and is 3-0 all-time against the Virginia-based school.
